Better Call Bob – Used Fire Trucks

Engine 65-3 has been retired from the PFD and is on it’s way to a fire department in the Country of Chile. She was driven away Sunday and has arrived at the Port of Baltimore on her journey to a new home.
It is not uncommon for older fire apparatus and construction/industrial equipment to find a new lease on life in Central and South America. This 1996 pumper was placed in service for the PFD in January of 2014. Originally, designed along with a twin pumper for the Wise Avenue Volunteer Fire Company of Baltimore County, MD, she also served the Needmore Volunteer Fire Company of Fulton County, PA. This pumper will be replaced with a new pumper-rescue. Delivery of this new unit is expected in early 2021.
