U.S. Army is receiving nine new E-ONE Typhoon™ Pumpers to deploy to military bases throughout the US.

Ocala, FL (May 27, 2016) –E-ONE, a member of REV Group (REV), a leading manufacturer of motor vehicles for commercial, fire & emergency and recreation markets, is delivering on a multi-unit award from the DLA Troop Support’s Heavy Equipment Procurement Program (HEPP). The contract includes nine U.S. Army 4×2 custom structural pumpers.

The U.S. Army chose E-ONE as the best value for the military’s firefighting units, adding to the seventeen E-ONE pumpers purchased in 2014. “E-ONE is thrilled to have another opportunity to deliver these emergency response vehicles to the U.S. Army. These pumpers are equipped with key features and have a well thought out configuration,” said RJ Jones, E-ONE Sales and Product Manager for ARFF and Federal Government Products.

The new U.S. Army pumpers have an E-ONE Typhoon™ chassis with spacious seating for four firefighters. Each of the pumpers has ample cab storage, featuring three medical cabinets and an exterior gear compartment. The heavy-duty front bumper includes a Line-X coated gravel shield. These pumpers perform with a 750-gallon water tank, 50-gallon foam tank, Waterous CSU 1500 GPM water pump and a high-capacity electronic foam system.

The high-strength, extruded aluminum cab provided is the most durable structural frame cab in the industry with a “built-in” roll cage to provide maximum protection and comfort for firefighters. Additional features include a lower hose bed and crosslay heights for improved accessibility from ground level, LED lighting and aluminum diamond-plate hose bed covers.
