Hale QLF-17 Top Mount Key

Description

A Hale QLF key is a specific component of Hale fire pumps, particularly of the QLF and QD models. It’s part of the power transfer valve assembly, which is responsible for engaging and disengaging the pump’s power take-off (PTO) drive.

The QLF key itself is a small, slotted piece of metal that fits into a groove on the transfer valve stem. When the key is turned, it rotates the stem, which in turn moves the valve piston and either engages or disengages the PTO drive.
