Sometimes you just need a fire truck rental to run while your apparatus is out for repair. Fire Line Equipment can assist you with a short term lease vehicle while your apparatus is being repaired or refurbished. Your leased / rental fire truck will come to you fully serviced, pump tested, aerial tested (if applicable) and ready to go into service protecting your community.

1. Will our insurance company pay for the rental / lease while our truck is out for repair?

Check with your insurance carrier to see if they will provide a rental vehicle while your truck is out for repair. It is becoming more common for fire departments to have this coverage in their policy.

2. What is the minimum lease term available?

The minimum a truck can be leased for is 30 days

3. Who pays for the transportation of the truck to my location?

The leasing fire department is responsible for round trip transportation charges.

4. Is there a required security deposit?

Yes, a security deposit is required and is generally equal to one month’s lease payment. The security deposit is refundable at the end of the lease term as long as the vehicle is returned in a satisfactory condition.

5. Will my fire department need to insure the vehicle?

Yes, the leasing fire department will insure the vehicle while it is leased.

6. Will my fire department be responsible for registering and licensing in our state?

Yes, the leasing fire department is responsible for registering and licensing the vehicle in your state.

7. Will the leased truck come with loose equipment?

Ground ladders (tested) will be provided. Adaptors and caps will be installed on all intakes and discharges. No other loose equipment, hose, monitors, tools or lighting (unless permanently mounted) will be provided.

8. Will the leased fire truck be serviced before we receive it?

Yes, each leased truck receives a Federal DOT inspection and pump test prior to being released. All warning lights and other devices are checked for operation. The engine and chassis will be fully serviced.

9. Who is responsible maintenance while my fire department leases the vehicle?

The leasing fire department is responsible for all routine maintenance while in possession of the vehicle. Any repairs needed due to operator error, equipment misuse, or failure to maintain the vehicle in accordance with manufacturer’s standards will be the responsibility of the leasing fire department.
