Description

A Hale SG cooling tube is a component used in gearboxes to help cool them. There are two main types of SG cooling tubes:

  • Primary cooling tube: This is the standard copper, straight 1/2” OD tube. It is used on all SG gearboxes, regardless of flow rate.

  • Secondary cooling tube: This is an additional copper, curved 3/8” OD tube. It was used on SG gearboxes for pumps rated at 1750gpm and higher after 2018. However, as of 2023, Hale has removed the second cooling tube and changed the primary cooling tube to a finned design for all SG gearboxes.
