Description
A in-line check valve (1/4″ NPT) is a small valve that allows fluid to flow in one direction only. It is used in piped systems to prevent backflow of pressure or media.
They are typically made of brass or stainless steel and have NPT threads on both ends for screwing into pipes. The valve has a spring-loaded check mechanism that opens when the pressure in the system exceeds a certain cracking pressure, allowing fluid to flow. When the pressure drops, the spring closes the valve, preventing backflow.
